The following classes are available:

FOUR HARNESS WEAVING. Although this class is for beginners, it is also for those who want to learn more about 4 harness patterns and want to refine craftsmanship skills. You will weave pre-warped projects, choosing from a wall hanging, a cotton bag, a rag rug using corduroy strips, a wool scarf, a table runner or placemats in cotton or linen, a tapestry sampler or a cotton towel. The looms will be warped for you before the class but learning to warp the loom can be included.

TAPESTRY FOR BEGINNERS. I have always found tapestry a great pleasure and where my greatest success has been. In this class you will learn the techniques of this expressive way to weave. A small sampler of techniques will be woven, including working from a cartoon. If time allows, a small tapestry will be woven.

FOUR HARNESS TAPESTRY. This technique, which I use for tapestry commissions, opens many new opportunities for weavers to explore their subject matter. This class includes several approaches to tapestry weaving and color study for the blending of colors in one butterfly. Please bring drawing paper, watercolors or colored pencils and some drawings or photos of subjects that interest you. Supplies $20.

COLOR STUDY FOR WEAVERS. Color selection can determine the success of a piece and at some point a weaver begins to study color to gain some self-confidence. This workshop will include color harmonies as well as related color phenomena which affect how we react to colors.

OPEN STUDIO. This is your chance to study weaving techniques of your choice in a studio environment. This is the time for working more in depth on a subject or to learn a new technique. Experiment with the wide assortment of materials available, at your own speed. Sign up early for your choice of looms. Please state the dates and subjects you want to study. Some possibilities would be: RAG RUG WEAVING WEFT FACED RUGS OVERSHOT SUMMER AND WINTER BOUND WEAVE THEO MOORMAN TECHNIQUE DOUBLE WEAVE PICK UP LINEN TRANSPARENCIES COLOR AND WEAVE EFFECTS CLOTHING DESIGN SWEDISH WEAVES DRAFTING AND DESIGNING DRAWLOOM
